Packaging Production
ForceMajeure (Freelance - 2 months)
I freelanced at ForceMajeure for two moths to cover someone's vacation. While there, I helped with their packaging production needs. I took the designers files and converted them to a print ready mechanical by by changing the colors to the correct Pantone color, creating duotone images that would separate correctly in the final substrate. Added detailed instructions for the vendor as to what color each particular text or images will be. Used Adobe Illustrator to create final files with die-lines and overprinting instructions. I also color verified and printed proofs. I printed and verified color with a spectrophotometer and Epson printer. Received Proofs from Vendors.
Hirshhorn & Young (Freelance - 1 month)
At Hirshhorn and Young I helped make copy changes and ad final retouched images to files. Once files had been approved I packaged files and uploaded files to vendor's FTP sites.
Lloyd & Co. - 3 weeks
I freelanced at Lloyd and Co. (an advertising agency) and there I assisted in the packaging production of holiday boxes for Calvin Klein perfumes. I checked die-lines and spot colors. I created duotones images for ink separation, white plates and foil etching plates.
